@RACStLouis has a new initiative EVOKE.RACSTL.org #artnstlou #StLouis

Hello: the Regional Arts Commission has launched a new initiative…EVOKE. Below I share an email that I received announcing the goal of developing a comprehensive cultural plan for the region. Want to be part of and pleased with the end result? Of course, you do! So, be certain to follow the link below to participate in RAC’s anonymous survey. Take the chance to add your two cents…I just did! Thanks.

A few weeks ago, the Regional Arts Commission (RAC) launched EVOKE, a new initiative established to develop the first comprehensive cultural plan for the region. As part of the planning process, we will be soliciting the feedback of thousands of residents about the value of the arts in their lives and the relevancy of the arts to issues that would make St Louis a better place to live. When we complete the plan early next year, we hope to have a bold set of strategies that will transform the way RAC does business and reposition St Louis as an exciting mecca for the arts.

As a member of the RAC staff, I am really excited about the next phase of EVOKE.  Over the next few months we will be out and about in neighborhoods throughout St. Louis City, County and the metro east. We know we will not be able to meet with every resident in the region, but we can connect with even more of our residents through surveys. We are asking everyone to complete our online survey.

I would very much appreciate it if you would complete the survey and let your voice be heard. You can reach the survey by clicking on this link. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete – about the same amount of time to drink your morning coffee! It isn’t often that we have an opportunity to shape the future of St Louis with such a simple task. And when you complete the survey, if you would forward it to others in your network to complete, we would be even more grateful.

To learn more about EVOKE, please visit our website where you will find information regarding events, convenings, and updates on what we are hearing and learning from conversations in the community.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to support this worthy cause by sharing your ideas. Hope to see you soon!”
